Dominique Ariane Swain is an American actress who has played a few different parts in several movies over her short career. She was born in Santa Monica in the year 1980 which makes her thirty years old this year. She played a character in the movie Lolita which was an international success and this may have been the turning point in her career that she needed to give it a boost. This was the same year that she appeared in the movie Face Off with John Travolta and Nicholas Cage. She played a lead role in the movie Plain Dirty which was about her life being the wife of an abusive husband. This was a low budget film that did rather well considering the dynamics which could also be said about the suspense film Southern Gothic.

Dominique is a pretty girl that has played some very bad girl parts like in Lolita and as the naughty daughter of John Travolta in Face Off. The Lolita movie was a low rated skin flick with a low budget and poor story line however it still was made famous because of the great cinematography. In 2002 she played the role of Gloria in Dead in the Water which is a horror or suspense movie about an abandoned ship at sea. If you like a good scare than this movie is for you since there are several scary moments while you are watching.

In 2006 the movie Alpha Dog was released quickly followed by the hit Totally Awesome in which both films Dominique played a major role which is part of the reason these two cult films are watched so often. Again many of her movies seemed dark and mysterious because Dominique got a reputation for being a night crawler when it comes to acting parts. Now living in Malibu you can find Dominique spending most of her time at nice coffee shops and book stores by her local malls when she is not working on her next movie piece. a busy girl who is wanted by many talented directors we can only hope to see more or Dominique Swain.
