Dominique Ariane Swain was born on August 12, 1980 in Santa Monica, California. She is the daughter of Cindy and David Swain Sr. David is an electrical engineer. Dominique has a four siblings. She was a student at Malibu High School. Her sister Chelse Swain is also an actress. In 1993 Dominique was a stunt double for the film The Good Son. Dominique is an American film actress best known for her role in the Lolita. In 1995 she won the title role for the film Lolita from the over two and a half thousand girls that auditioned for the part. She won very controversial role in the 1997 adaptation of the Vladimir Nabokov novel.

Dominique is a spokesperson for the group PETA. PETA is the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. Dominique is the youngest person to ever pose nude for PETA.

Dominique played the role of the rebellious daughter to John Travolta’s character in Face Off. There have been many roles in low budget and independent films. Dominique had a role in the award winning gothic suspense movie Plain Dirty. She had the leading role of the battered wife, Inez in the film. She has also appeared in the 1998 video clip of the song Lullaby directed by Roger Pistole. Stuff magazine has named Dominique number seventy nine on their 102 Sexiest Women in the World listings for the year 2002. February 2007 saw her gracing the cover of Stuff magazine. Also during February 2007 the movie Dead Mary was released. This was a straight to DVD horror flick. She has also appeared in the Rockstar video for the band Nickleback and in the Sky Parade song Losing Control video. Moby’s video We Are All Made of Stars also includes Dominique.
